On February 1, 2017 a theme exhibition “With common dream, with common pain…”Yevhen Malaniuk’s poetry in illustrations by Merited Artist of Ukraine Andriy Nadezhdin” was opened in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. It was dedicated to the 120th anniversary of our fellow-townsman, sotnik of Ukrainian People’s Republic Army Ye.F.Malaniuk and 100th anniversary of Ukrainian People’s Republic, and organized within the framework of celebration of centenary of Ukrainian revolution 1917-1921 events.
   More than 40 illustrations and book headpieces by a famous Kropyvnytskyi artist and by Merited Artist of Ukraine Andriy Nadezhdin are shown in the exposition. They were created for such printed matters: L.Kutsenko “Dominus Malaniuk – background and figure”. – Kirovohrad: Central-Ukrainian publishing house, 2001 (enlarged edition Kyiv: Hrono, 2002) and collection of poems of Ye.Malaniuk “With common dream, with common pain…” with translation to the Russian language by O.Arkhanhelskyi. – Kirovohrad: Imeks-LTD, 2013.
   The exhibition opening was held on the birthday of Ukrainian writer, poet, culture expert, encyclopedist and literary critic Yevhen Fylymonovych Malaniuk(1897-1968).
   On February 2, 2017 a meet-the-artist event took place. Merited Artist of Ukraine, art expert, leading researcher of the museum Andriy Nadezhdin met pupils of Kirovohrad regional general educational institution complex of academic and aesthetic type. The author of the exhibition not only showed the exposition of his illustrations to Yevhen Malaniuk’s works, but also told about work on artistic presentation of books, dedicated to the work of a prominent philosopher, poet and culture expert. Also A.M.Nadezhdin presented booklet of the exhibition and book – collection of of poems of Ye.Malaniuk “With common dream, with common pain…” to the pupils.
