On
April 12, 2017 before Easter O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum presented a
travelling exhibition “Yakiv Pauchenko’s icon-painting studio” in Kirovohrad
children’s art school named after O.O.Osmerkin. The exhibition allowed pupils and
teachers to travel through time, because its exposition consisted not only of unique
photographs, documents, sketches and projects which tell about work of iconostasis,
artistic icon-painting and gold-plating studio of Elizavethgrad architect Ya.V.Pauchenko,
but also reproductions of icons from the museum collection of sacral art, one of which is
“The Mother of God with a child” the end of the XIX century, supposedly,
created exactly in this studio.

Pauchenko had successfully led iconostasis, artistic icon-painting and gold-plating
