On May 20, 2017 presentation of an exhibition of works of the participants of art-project “Art plein-air – 2017”, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of O.O.Osmerkin, took place in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. The exhibition was opened within the framework of cultural, art and educational event “A visit to the museum”, dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the artist and pedagogue O.O.Osmerkin to International Museum Day. The organizer of the art project was gallery “Elisavethrad”.
   The owner of the gallery “Elisavethrad” M.M.Tsukanov had been organizing art plein-airs three years in a row. And he suggested dedicating this year event to the anniversary of a prominent artist and pedagogue O.O.Osmerkin, and the works painted during the plein-air to show in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum.
   The gallery issued an art envelope with a portrait of O.O.Osmerkin and conducted the cancellation procedure. So.M.M.Tsukanov had invited famous artists from Kyiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, among whom – People’s Artist of Ukraine Anatolii Horbenko, Merited artists of Ukraine Anatolii Kravchenko and Leonid Zaborovskyi, members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Svitlana Anoshkina, Olena Al-Khadzh, Tetiana Didenko, Serhii Duplii, Lenur Veliliaiev, and also Yurii Platonov from Belarus, and Tszian Liu from China, who is a postgraduate student at South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University named after K.D.Ushynskyi. Kropyvnytskyi artists also took part in the event – members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Yurii Vintenko, Anatolii Shapovalov and Valerii Davydov.
   During the exhibition opening all the participants of the plein-air shared their pleasant impressions of the town and its residents. The museum director V.V.Chernova handed letters of appreciation and the museum booklets to all the artists to remember this art event. The museum also received some gifts – M.M.Tsukanov gave a painting by People’s Artist of Ukraine A.O.Horbenko from the gallery funds and watercolour work, where the building of the museum is depicted, by Merited Artist of Ukraine A.H.Kravchenko to the museum. And the head of Odesa regional organization of the National union of Artists of Ukraine People’s Artist of Ukraine A.O.Horbenko enriched the museum collection with art albums and catalogues that show work of Odesa artists. All the participants of the plein-air left their autographs on the poster of the exhibition and sincere wishes to the museum in the museum guestbook.
