On 5 December 2018, before the
126th anniversary of the painter and pedagogue O.O.Osmerkin (December
8), an exhibition of creative works by teachers and pupils of art school
named after O.O.Osmerkin “Creative mix: teachers-students” was opened in
O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. The exhibition was dedicated to the
80th anniversary of Merited Worker of Culture of Ukraine L.I.Bondar, who
had been the director of the school for more than twenty years.
Exposition of the exhibition consists of thirty creative
works of teachers of the school and their students. Presented paintings
and graphic works, sculpture and decorative and applied art works
reflect the creative skills of each author. The vernissage of mature
artists and their young pupils attracted a lot of attention of the
worshipers of visual arts, because not that often you have an
opportunity to track continuity of the creative traditions and art
preferences.
The director of the school Hanna Tymofiienko while presenting
the exhibition mentioned that it addresses the potential pupils of the
art school and also to all the worshipers of beautiful. The exhibition
is aimed at popularization of visual arts, promotion of the development
of children's and youth creativity.
The head of the Department of Culture and Tourism of Town
Council of Kropyvnytskyi Anna Nazarets congratulated the participants on
the exhibition opening. She also expressed gratitude to the school staff
for active participation in town cultural and educational events.
The graduates of the school also shared their memories about
the school – Merited Artist of Ukraine Andrii Nadezhdin, who works as a
leading researcher in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum and the head of
the gallery of Petro Ossovskyi “World and Motherland” of the Regional
Art Museum, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine
Anatolii Kimnatnyi. They acknowledged their teacher Leonid Bondar, who
taught them not only painting but also to appreciate beautiful and
reflect it in their artistic works.
At the end of the event, the museum director Vita Chernova
handed Certificate of acknowledgement to the school staff for the
presentation of the exhibition in the museum. Also, she presented to all
the present a souvenir calendar for the next year with the reproduction
of O.O.Osmerkin’s work “Pine” (end of the 1930s) that is shown in the
memorial gall. |
