On
April 20, 2019, O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum participated in the 7th
Central-Ukrainian Festival of Museums and Tourism and Transregional Tourist Exhibition “Kirovohrad
Region Welcomes – 2019” that took place in the town Dendropark. All the districts of
the Kirovohrad region and seven regions of Ukraine, including the Donetsk, Ternopil,
Chernivtsi, Chernihiv, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, and Zhytomyr regions demonstrated their
tourist attractiveness.
The Museum together with the Literature and Memorial museum of I.K.
Karpenko-Kary, and Karol Shymanovskyi Museum of Musical Culture with the support of the
Department of Culture and Tourism of City Council of Kropyvnytskyi Town, presented
traveling themed exhibitions – “Artists Yakiv Pauchenko” and “Art Projects of
O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum”.
A unique guided tour around Kropyvnytskyi town on a new modern
trolleybus was conducted during the festival. The participants learned the history of the
town foundation, visited many historical sites and the museum, where they viewed the
exposition about the life and work of O.O.Osmerkin, Professor of Painting, and art
exhibitions of works by modern artists of Kropyvnytskyi.
Also, Andrii Kulahin, a famous Kyiv artist visited the museum on that
day. He presented a personal exhibition in the gallery “Yelisavethrad”. According to
the initiator of the exhibition Mykola Tsukanov, “Andrii Kulahin is an artist with a
broad creative view. He exhibits his works not only in Ukraine but also abroad. By the
way, his portrait of Pope John Paul II is kept in the gallery of the Vatican Library”.
After acquainting with the museum exposition, the artist presented signed catalogs and
left feedback about the opened exhibition “Colorful Festival” of works by the pupils
of Children’s School of Arts. And it is quite symbolic because the artists himself is a
curator of an art-workshops in Kyiv. |
