On September 9, 2022,
the O.O.Osmerkin Memorial Art Museum was visited by the leading experts
of the National Research and Restoration Center of Ukraine, led by the
General Director, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Svitlana
Strelnikova, in accordance with the letter of the Ministry of Culture
and Information Policy of Ukraine dated August 5, 2022 No. 06/
18/1268-22 "On a comprehensive survey of the state of museum objects of
the Museum Fund of Ukraine in state and communally owned museums."
The National Research and Restoration Center of Ukraine is a
state specialized cultural institution whose activities are aimed at
research, preservation, conservation and restoration of museum objects
of the Museum Fund of Ukraine. Taking into account the introduction of
martial law in Ukraine, on August 1, 2022, the NRRCU began the second
stage of a comprehensive survey of the condition of museum objects of
the Museum Fund of Ukraine in state and communally owned museums.
The restorers examined the paintings and graphics of painting
professor Oleksandr Osmerkin, his personal belongings and unique
memorial items from the house of Yelisavethrad architect Yakov Pauchenko,
where the artist spent his childhood and youth and where the museum is
now located - a decorative lantern, a Moorish-style table, a chest of
drawers, carved doors, antique pistols, a carpet made in a rare
embroidery technique, and a grand piano. Specialists of the restoration
center made detailed descriptions of the museum objects based on the
results of their visual examination, provided valuable recommendations
for the safe storage of visual works in the fund storage, in particular,
the collection of icons of the late 19th and early 20th centuries,
memorial items and objects from the workshop of Oleksandr Osmerkin, and
noted that the museum maintains satisfactory conditions for storage of
objects of the Museum Fund of Ukraine.
"Sincere congratulations and wishes for further development,
prosperity, coordinated interesting work, lightning-fast creative
projects to the wonderful team of the museum! Your love and attitude
towards museum objects, tolerance and desire to move forward deserve
special attention. See you again in a peaceful city with the Victory of
our state!" - Svitlana Strelnikova, the General Director of The National
Research and Restoration Center of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Culture of
Ukraine, wrote in the museum book of reviews. |
