An exhibition dedicated to the memory of the Artist's Day
honored artists of Ukraine Hryhorii Hnatiuk and Andrii Nadiezhdin

On October 5, 2023, a presentation of the exhibition of the works of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Hryhorii Hnatiuk "Graphic revelations of Hryhorii Hnatiuk" was held in the O.O.Osmerkin Art Memorial Museum for the Artist's Day as part of the museum art project "Laureates of the Regional Prize in the Field of Fine Art and Art History named after Oleksandr Osmerkin". The exposition of the exhibition consists of drawings by the Honored Artist of Ukraine Hryhorii Hnatiuk (1951-2012), presumably from the late 1990s - early 2000s, made with pencil, ink, gouache, sangina, and ballpoint pen on paper of various A4 and A5 formats in the author's style in various visual genres, which are a kind of creative laboratory of the artist in reproducing the life of a person and his spiritual world.
The initiative to organize the exhibition belongs to Svitlana Ushakova, head of the art department of the Regional Universal Scientific Library named after D.I.Chizhevskyi, laureates of the Oleksandr Osmerkin regional prize in the field of fine arts and art history in the nomination "art history and art history" as part of the author's team (2018). She proposed this idea a few years ago to the leading researcher of the O.O.Osmerkin Art Memorial Museum, expert art critic, Honored Artist of Ukraine Andrii Nadiezhdin, who after scientific study of more than half a thousand graphic sketches and sketches of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Hryhorii Hnatiuk from the private collection of the artist Oleksandr Kryvko - a teacher at the art school named after O.O.Osmerkin, selected more than one and a half hundred drawings for the exhibition and wrote an art history article for the exhibition catalog "Graphic revelations of Hryhorii Hnatiuk". Unfortunately, the quarantine prevented us from presenting the exhibition for the Artist's Day in 2021, and in 2022, Andrii Nadiezhdin suddenly passed away on October 19. Museum scientists decided to bring their colleague's work to a logical conclusion and present his latest artistic project, which covers the entire spectrum of 27 years of successful scientific and artistic activity of Andrii Nadiezhdin - twice laureate of the Oleksandr Osmerkin regional prize in the field of fine arts and art history in the nomination "art history and the history of arts" (2010) and as part of the author's collective (2019).
The exhibition "Graphic revelations of Hryhorii Hnatiuk" and the thematic catalog of the exhibition with an introductory article by Andrii Nadiezhdin, the computer layout and layout of which was developed by the artist Nataliia Kornilova, were presented by the director of the museum, Vita Chernova. The general emotional mood for all present was created at the beginning of the event by the performance of the teachers of music school No. 1 named after H.G.Neuhaus Oleksandr Romanchenko (violin) and Olha Tereshchenko (piano), who performed the "Melody" of the famous Ukrainian composer Hero of Ukraine Myroslav Skoryk - a musical composition called the "Spiritual Hymn of Ukraine", which was one of Andrii Nadiezhdin's favorites.
His friends and colleagues - co-organizers of the exhibition Svitlana Ushakova and Oleksandr Kryvko, members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Fedir Lagno, Valerii Davydov and Yurii Vintenko shared memories of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Hryhoriy Hnatyuk, his life and work. The head of the Kirovohrad regional organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine, candidate of philological sciences, Nadiia Harmazii, who came to the opening of the exhibition together with the students of the alternative school "Krok", made a welcome speech.
The vernissage on the eve of the Artist's Day was a worthy tribute to the memory of talented artists, Honored Artists of Ukraine Hryhorii Hnatiuk and Andrii Nadiezhdin, whose work is full of mysteries, symbols and signs, and their artistic world is for intellectuals who, through knowledge of the past, try to understand the meaning of modern life and, if possible, try predict the future of human civilization in the boundless universe.
