Cultural and art event “A visit to the museum” took place traditionally on May 18 on the World Museum Day in A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. A lot of interesting events were brought forward to the visitors.
   An exhibition “The call of the soul” provoked rapturous impressions. This exhibition is from the cycle of theme exhibitions “Mysteries of the museum collection” dedicated to the All-Ukrainian day of the workers of the culture and masters of folk art. Works by Kirovograd amateur artists A.Lipatov, Yu.Gorobchenko, I.Tkachenko, V.Shulga, N.Yavtushenko,V.Hashchishyn and R.Klymyshyn are shown at the exhibition.
   A special appeal of the museum fest were art workshops, established last year, of the pupils of the fine art department of Kirovograd children’s art school under the direction of the teachers a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Yuriy Vintenko and Larisa Yakovleva. The result of the workshops became express-exhibition of drawings by young artists and their mentors “Museum still life”.
   The museum fest concluded with “Musical fireworks” – a wonderful concert performed by the pupils and teachers of Kirovograd musical school №1 named after H.Neihaus.
