A
presentation of a theme exhibition “Heart and mind with Taras Shevchenko” of graphic
works by amateur painter V.Shulga took place on March 4, 2014 in A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial
Museum. The exhibition is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of T.Shevchenko.
Viktor Andriyovich Shulga (1923-2000) - a member of the
National Union of journalists of Ukraine, war veteran and veteran of work. Was born in
Novomyrgorod, Kirovograd Region. Graduated from Odessa Art College. Worked in Novomyrgorod
regional newspaper “Red star”. A participant of numerous exhibitions of amateur art.
In 1971 His personal exhibition was shown in the House of artists in Kiev.
The current exhibition presents more than 20 graphic works by A.Shulga which
the artist presented to O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum in April 2000. These are theme
series – “Taras’ life” and “Through Shevchenko’s places”, created by the
painter in 1960s – 1990s. Watercolours and drawings deeply discover the image of a
painter, poet and philosopher – Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko.
Students of Kirovograd machine building College under the National Kirovograd
Technical University came to the opening of the exhibition. They listened with enthusiasm
to the undying T.Shevchenko’s poetry recited by a famous cultural worker, now the
artistic director of the House of Culture “Aviator” of Kirovograd flying Academy under
the National University of Aviation of Ukraine, M.Barabulya and lecture of the chief
research officer of the museum, art historian, Honoured artist of Ukraine A.Nadezhdin
about painter Shevchenko, image of the Great Kobzar in the graphic works by the amateur
