On
June 2, 2017 festivities on the occasion of awarding winners of Art competition
“Youth palette” named after Leonid Bondar took place in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial
Museum. The event was held to International Children’s Day in 2017 and the topic of the
competition was “Classic genres of Fine Art”; it was dedicated to 125th anniversary of
O.O.Osmerkin. Also the exhibition of the winners’ and participants’ works was opened.
This year competition was held in such genres of fine art: painting, graphic
art, sculpture. In the competition took part 197 works of 159 pupils and students from 15
educational establishments of Kirovohrad: Children Art School named after O.O.Osmerkin,
Children School of Arts (Fine Arts Department), clubs and classes of fine art and
decorative and applied art of comprehensive schools and professional-technical educational
establishments ¹5,6,7,11,18,19,24,31, lyceumsof sphere of service and of public
services, and also Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr
Vynnychenko (Art and Graphic Department of Art Faculty) and Kirovohrad Construction
College (special field “architectural design and interior”).
According to the decision of the jury of the competition the winners became
32 participants, aged from 8 to 22. They received Diplomas of I, II and III levels and
recognition gifts – items and materials for creative work of the artists (paints,
brushes, pencils, albums etc). Letters of acknowledgement were given to 6 participants, 1
group and all the teachers whose pupils became winners of the competition. Also all the
winners and their teachers received a theme booklet “Winners of the Art competition “Youth
palette” named after Leonid Bondar to International Children’s Day in 2017 on topic:
“Classic genres of Fine Art”, dedicated to 125th anniversary of O.O.Osmerkin”, a
museum booklet and souvenir calendar with reproduction of O.O.Osmerkin’s work “Self-portrait”,
1912. The theme booklet contains not only the reproductions of works of the winners of the
competition, but also biographic article and photo portrait of L.I.Bondar.
While awarding the winners head of Culture and Tourism Department of
Kirovohrad Town Council A.F.Nazarets mentioned the significance of the foundation of such
art competition that encourages the development of children and youth creativity, gives
pupils and students an opportunity to fulfill their potential and also discovers and
supports talented youth and teachers. Merited Artist of Ukraine A.M.Nadezhdin, who is the
head of the jury of the competition, and Art History PhD, associate professor of Art
Department of Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr
Vynnychenko O.I.Kyrychenko stressed prestige value that the competition is held in the
memorial building of a prominent artist and pedagogue O.O.Osmerkin.
L.I.Bondar’s daughter Tetiana Leonidivna Bondar – teacher of Children’s
Art School named after O.O.Osmerkin –expressed deep gratitude to the competition
organizers and mentioned that this competition is a considerable honour of her father –
a wonderful artist and talented pedagogue, who devoted all his life to children, teaching
them fine art and implanting them high aesthetic sense. And the director of Children’s
Art School named after O.O.Osmerkin H.V.Tymofienko gave to the museum funds a sculpture
work of a pupil Ehor Bublik “Socrates. In memory of L.I.Bondar” (teacher O.V.Kryvko)
ad mentioned that L.I.Bondar was a real philosopher in life and also a creative person and
wise teacher.
At the close of the event a performance of the winner of the competition Olha
Shlapak was a music gift for all the present. Olha Shlapak is a pupil of Children School
of Arts, who studies at two departments at the same time – learning fine art and playing
on the traditional Ukrainian musical instrument bandura. |
