Ukrainian children are witnesses of
Russian military aggression. But even during the war, they continue to
create. Strong in spirit and courageous, like Ukrainian
soldiers-defenders, they are confident in the Victory of good over evil
and sincerely reflect in their works their emotions, thoughts, and most
importantly those they love, who defend the independence of Ukraine and
its territorial integrity.
The theme of the Leonid Bondar "Youth Palette" art
competition for International Children's Day in 2023 was announced:
"Those whom we love: Heroes of modern Ukraine" and dedicated to the 85th
anniversary of the birth of the famous artist and teacher, Honored
Worker of Culture of Ukraine Leonid Bondar (1938 - 2013), who worked for
more than twenty years as the director of the Oleksandr Osmerkin
children's art school in the city of Kropyvnytskyi.
The competition was held for the following types of fine art:
painting, graphics, sculpture, decorative art. The works for
participation in the competition were determined in educational
institutions according to the preliminary selection and together with
the application form were sent in electronic form to the e-mail of the
museum.
146 works were submitted for consideration by the competition
jury, their authors are 141 participants. These are the students of the
following educational institutions in the city of Kropyvnytskyi: Art
School named after Oleksandr Osmerkin, Children's School of Arts, Groups
and Studios of Fine and Decorative Arts of Lyceums named after Taras
Shevchenko, Natural Sciences, "Maximum", "Municipal Collegium" and
"Linguistic", "Podilskyi Gymnasium", Educational Complex "Mriya",
Alternative School "KrOk", as well as students of Central Ukrainian
State University named after Volodymyr Vinnichenko, Department of Art
Education, Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Arts, Kropyvnytskyi
Construction Professional College, Department "Architecture and
Management", and Kropyvnytskyi College "University of modern knowledge",
specialty "Design".
Traditionally, young artists not only from the Kirovohrad
region, but also from other regions of Ukraine took part in the
competition. Students of the Mykhailiv Lyceum of the Oleksandrivska
Settlement Council and the Sokoliv Lyceum of the Sokoliv Village Council
of the Kropyvnytskyi District of the Kirovohrad Oblast, the art class of
the Taraschan Children's Music School of the Kyiv Oblast, and pupils of
the "Kreativ" and "Sketch" art studios of the Donetsk Regional Palace of
Children's and Youth Creativity submitted their works to the
competition. the city of Kramatorsk.
Many of the participants in the children's competition are
internally displaced persons from Soledar, Melitopol, Kramatorsk, as
well as those who were forced to leave the country with the beginning of
the full-scale invasion and now live in Poland, the Netherlands and
other countries.
On May 11, 2023, a meeting of the competition jury was
held. Competent specialists evaluated the contestants' works: Andrii
Hvorost, head of the Kirovohrad regional organization of the National
Union of Artists of Ukraine, Anna Nazarets, head of the culture and
tourism department of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council, associate
professor of the art education department of the faculty of pedagogy,
psychology and arts of the Central Ukrainian State University named
after V.Vynnychenko is a candidate of art history Olena Kyrychenko and
artist Nataliya Kornilova and member of the National Union of Artists of
Ukraine Lyudmila Demydenko.
According to the decision of the competition jury, the
winners were 48 participants, aged from 7 to 22 years old, whose
artistic works were awarded Diplomas of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd degrees in the
corresponding age categories in three nominations: 1 – students of
primary specialized art educational institutions, schools of aesthetic
education; II - students of art studios and fine art groups of general
educational institutions; ²²² – students of higher educational
institutions of artistic and humanitarian profile. 64 participants in
all nominations were honored with thanks and awards from members of the
jury and the organizing committee.
On June 1, 2023, on the International Day for the
Protection of Children, a virtual exhibition of the works of the winners
of the competition on the theme: "Those whom we love: Heroes of modern
Ukraine" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Leonid Bondar Art
Competition "Youth Palette" is presented on the museum's website in the
section from the birthday of the Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine
Leonid Bondar, their diplomas, thanks, awards of members of the jury and
the organizing committee, as well as a thematic booklet with
reproductions of works awarded with diplomas. |
