The exhibition “From caryatid to high-tech. Allurement of facade plastic art of the town on Inhul”was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of an artist of architecture Ya. Pauchenko and wads a joint work of the museum and a famous Kirovohrad photo journalist Ihor Demchuk within the framework of the art project to the Town Day “At the crossroads of the streets of Elisavethrad-Kirovohrad”.The art project is aimed at presenting Kirovohrad streets in photographs, showing succession of architectural language from the town foundation to the present as indissoluble history of construction of an integral urban environment, reflecting life of residents and visitors of the town, in order to involve general public to studying of their past.
   Demchuk Ihor Mykolaiiovych – member of the National Unions of Journalists of Ukraine (1993) and the National Unions of Photo Artists of Ukraine (2005), laureate the Award of the newspaper “Narodne slovo” named after of V.Vynnychenko (1999) and Regional Award in Journalism in nomination “photo journalism” (2005), awarded Gold medal of Ukrainian Journalism (2010). Was born in 1962 in Brody, Lviv region. Graduated from Lviv State University named after I.Franko, the Department of Journalism (1984).Worked as a correspondent of Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union-Radio-Telegraph Agency of Ukraine, Ukrinform in Kirovohrad region (1984-1995), since 1995 – photo correspondent, special correspondent of the regional newspaper “Narodne slovo”. Participant of national and regional photo competitions. Exhibitions of authors photographs were presented in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum – “Stop and admire” to the 145th anniversary of Elisavethrad architect Ya.pauchenko (2011), “Dvortsova Str. – the past and the present” (2014) and “Velyka Perspektyvna – from fortress of St. Elisavet to Guardian Angel of the Town” (2015) within the framework of the museum art project to Town Day “At the crossroads of the streets of Elisavethrad-Kirovohrad”.
   The exhibition exposition consists of 35 coloured artistic architectural photographs of the town landscapes made by a photographer I.Demchuk and format photo installations-assemblages of facade decorations of buildings created by leading researcher of the museum, curator of the art project “At the crossroads of the streets of Elisavethrad-Kirovohrad” Merited Artist of Ukraine A.Nadezhdin, which are special emotional emphasis, that help a viewer to get to know with historical architectural styles and feel the beauty of our town.
   Presentation of a slide show took place during the exhibition opening. The slide show demonstrated existence of continuity of artistic ideas of different generations, willingness of the residents to perception of general continental art movements and their realization through artistic reconsideration of qualities that point to folk and civic unity of the society. This was shown by the examples of beauty of sculptural and decorative plastic art of architectural details, that are decoration and gem of the town building.
