A personal exhibition of works by a famous Ukrainian painter, Merited Artist of Ukraine A.M.Yaniev “Pictorial universe of Anatolii Yaniev” was presented within the art project of the series of art exhibitions initiated by the museum “In the artist’s studio”. The project is aimed at еру popularization of works of Kirovohrad artists and presupposes organization of personal exhibitions and publication of catalogues with articles about the artists, their reflections on fine art and their studios; with reproductions of works that brightly reflect their creative searches.
    Yaniev Anatolii Mykytovych was born on 15 December 1945, in the village of Mytrofanivka, Novhorodka district, Kirovohrad region. Merited Artist of Ukraine (2013). A member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1989). A first laureate of the Regional Award in Fine Art and History of Art named after Oleksandr Osmerkin in the nomination “national tradition” (2005).
    Graduated from Kyiv State Art Institute, now the National Academy of Visual Arts and Architecture of Ukraine (1974), painter, pedagogues – People’s Artist of Ukraine T.M.Holembiievska, V.V.Shatalin.
    Worked as a painter in Kirovohrad art and industrial workshops of Art Fund of Ukrainian SSR (1974-1989), teacher of the Art Department of Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after V.Vynnychenko (1994-1996) and Children’s Art School named after O.Osmerkin (1996-1999).
    Participated in regional, all-Ukrainian and international art exhibitions. Personal exhibitions took place in Kirovohrad Regional Universal Scientific Library named after D.I.Chyzhevskyi (1996), O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum (2000, 2013). Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum (2010), gallery “Elisavethrad” (2015). Works of the painter are kept in the Directorate of exhibitions of the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, Kirovohrad Regional Art Museum, O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum, private collections.
    Art works of Merited Artist of Ukraine A.M.Yaniev reflect evolutional processes in a classic realistic painting, the traditions of which are confidently implemented by the artist. He constantly is in search of the forms of expression which will help to unfold images of a human and the world he/she lives in. Paintings of every-day life take a special place in the creative work of the artist. Characters of his works are mostly people who are busy with routine work. In every-day work the painting sees a uniqueness of the moment, so he pays a lot of attention to the details, highlighting a material character of every item.
    At the current exhibition, 45 paintings of 2017-2018 from the author’s collection are shown. Also, paintings of different years from the museum collection and graphic portraits of the 1980s are exhibited, the latter for the first time.
