The exhibition of works “Portrait of the Town: Architectural Gems of
Yakiv Pauchenko” by the students of the Art Studio “Sovushka” was presented within
the museum art projects “Gallery of Children’s Art”.
The Art Studio “Sovushka” was founded in 2016 by
famous Kropyvnytskyi folk art artists and pedagogues Tetiana and Svitlana Storozhenko.
Currently, more than 100 pupils aged 3-13 study at the studio.
The head of the studio is a member of the National Union of Folk Art
Artists of Ukraine, pysanka master, decorative painting artist Tetiana Storozhenko who
created the ornaments for the monumental art objects “Dyvo-Pysanka” (Wonder-Easter
Egg) and “Dyvo-Ptakh” (Wonder-Bird) together with other artists. The art objects won
at the all-Ukrainian Festival “Parade of vyshyvanky” to the Independence Day of
Ukraine in Kyiv in 2012 and 2013. Her creative reconstruction “Collection of pysanky of
Yelisavethrad povit of Kherson county collected by V.Yastrebov in 1889-1895” in the
technique of decorative painting of pysanka was applied for the Regional Award in
Architecture,Hheraldry, Vexillology, and Decorative and Applied Art named after Yakiv
Pauchenko in 2019.
Tetiana Storozhenko shares her creative secrets with her students –
she conducts interesting interactive themed classes, teaches the basics of painting,
composition, and decorative and applied art, demonstrates professional workshops. It is
not usual classes but real creative communication with stories about the history of visual
art and architecture in different countries.
Annually in summer, the Art Studio “Sovushka” holds plein air “Portrait
of the town”. Young artists make art trips and represent the most beautiful parts of the
historical center of Kropyvnytskyi in their works. This year, students dedicated the plein
air to the work of an outstanding Yelisavethrad architect Yakiv Pauchenko, whose
magnificent buildings, constructed in different neostyles in the end of the 19th –
beginning of the 20th century, are real architectural landmarks of our steppe town.
The exhibition offers more than thirty original drawings made with
gouache by the students aged 6-10. Each drawing is a personal, unique perspective on
complicated architectural plastics of the buildings constructed on the projects of a
talented architect Yakiv Pauchenko. The landmarks fascinate with the elegant beauty and
impress Kropyvnytskyi citizens and guests of the town.
The exhibition is completed with colored author’s photographs by
Merited Journalist of Ukraine Ihor Demchuk from the exposition of the exhibition “Stop
and Admire”, dedicated to the 145th anniversary of Ya.V.Pauchenko, which was presented
in 2011 in O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum.
The exposition of the exhibition of the Art Studio “Sovushka” was presented outside
the museum. The festive vernissage was held in the open air. After the event, the
exhibition was transferred to the memorial hall of the museum. |
