A special place in the creative work of the photo artist Oleksandr
Shuleshko is given to the topics of the architecture of the native town in the natural
landscape and portraits of the representatives of culture and art – painters, poets,
musicians, writers, which are divided into separate art series. The most important traits
of his works are fixation of light which shapes his approaches to color and plastic of
forms and emotional state of nature and person. In landscapes, these concepts acquire
impressionistic forms – town landscapes full of enigmatic magic of sunlight or moonlight
often are completed with the shine of neon signs and flashes of city lights. In portraits,
the author pays special attention to the psychology of his characters. And in
compositional photo studies with people as objects, sudden situations or revelation of a
person’s traits from the unexpected angle impresses much.
There are more than thirty colored and black and white photographs at
the online exhibition. The photos are from the following series: “The Town of
Kropyvnytskyi: Architecture and Landscapes” and “Portrait Gallery of Kropyvnytskyi
Artists”, whichare characterized by a modern form of representation of photo image,
multidimensionality, clearness, and observation of rhythmical composition with the usage
of the heritage of classic photo art. |
