The exhibition of works by the pupils of the Department of Visual Art of Children School of Arts in Kropyvnytskyi “Autumn vernissage: “Until the leaves fall…” to World Watercolor Day (November 23) was presented within the museum art-project “Gallery of Children’s Art”.
    The Department of Visual Art of Children School of Arts in Kropyvnytskyi is an active participant of the museum art project “Gallery of Children’s Art”. Many team and personal exhibitions, themed art workshops by famous artists were organized together.
    The main task of the educational institution is engagement of children and youth to the world of visual art. The experienced artists and pedagogues share their knowledge in painting, drawing, composition, decorative and applied art, and history of the world art. Many pupils of the school are laureates and diploma winners of all-Ukrainian, regional, and town competitions of pupils’ art.
    The curator of the retrospective exhibition is the head of the department Olha Krasnopolska. The exhibition presents fifty works of the young artists aged 7 to 15. The works are made in different fine art techniques during the decade starting from 2009 and till autumn 2020 under the supervision fo the teachers: Yurii Vintenko, Halyna Yarova-Vintenko, Larysa Yakovleva, Olha Krasnopolska, and a young teacher Dariia Kostiuk, whose creative work as a pupils of the school is also exhibited.
    Paintings and decorative works are united by the same topic of autumn – a colorful season when the nature turns into an artist and paints tree leaves in different colors. The majority of works are the studying tasks on the broadening of pupils’ compositional thinking and knowledge of art techniques – watercolor, gouache, work with different materials. That is why they are be characterized of open color, great imagination, desire to discover the surrounding world. At the same time, one can see a bright expression of the author’s skills because each of them is a creative personality who tries to bring feelings, thoughts, fantasies, dreams, and love for visual art to their works.
