The art school named after the Professor of Panting Oleksandr Osmerkin
traditionally presented exhibitions to the anniversary of the painter within the museum
art project “Gallery of Children’s Art”.
The Art School named after O.O.Osmerkin was founded in autumn 1959. It
is incredibly popular in Kropyvnytskyi. Many graduates are famous artists, Meirted Artsist
of Ukraine, laureates of the regional art awards in fine art and history of art named
Oleksandr Osmerkin and in architecture, heraldry, vexillology, and decorative and applied
art named after Yakiv Pauchenko.
The experienced teachers, preserving the basics of academic school and
integrating new forms of teaching, share their knowledge in painting, drawing sculpture,
decorative art, and the history of the world art. Pupils are participants and diploma
winners of town, regional, all-Ukrainian, and international exhibitions and competitions.
The retrospective online exhibition offers the visitors to see more than 30 drawings of
the pupils of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, created under the supervision of the teachers of
the school: Hanna Tymofiienko, Olena Pryimachenko, Dariia Aleksieienko, Tetiana Bondar,
Svitlana Hnoieva, Oleksandra Kuznietsova, Oleksii Lozynskyi, Volodymyr Plitin, Ihor
Tymofiienko. The works of the pupils from the pre-school group, curated by a high-achiever
of education of Ukraine Iryna Zantariia, are also exhibited.
“The exhibition is themed one; it presented still life genre. The
works are class assignments; they are different in topics and technique – watercolor,
gouache, pencil, Indian ink. Created mostly between 2018 and 2020, although there are
drawings of the graduates. They can be characterized by pure kids’ imagination and
desire to learn art techniques. Each pupil is a creative personality who tries to bring
their thoughts, feelings, dreams, and love for visual art to their drawings” –
mentioned the director of the art school Hanna Tymofiienko. |
