An online themed exhibition “Art Visions of the Architect’s House” is dedicated to the 155th anniversary of Yakiv Pauchenko.
    Pauchenko Yakiv Vasyliovych (1866-1914) is one of the architects who created the unique architectural ensemble of the historical center of the modern town of Kropyvnytskyi. Yelisavethrad newspaper “Holos Yuha” (Voice of the South”) in 1914 published: “The range of his buildings brightly shows him as a talented artist and architect… A doubtless achievement is that he was the first in our town who gave the examples of artistic architecture…”
    The basis of the architectural activity of Yakiv Pauchenko was his house where his nephew, Professor of Painting Oleksandr Osmerkin, spent his childhood and youth. Currently, O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum is located in the building. It was constructed in 1899 by the project of the architect. It was the architect’s landmark – the interior of the rooms was characterized by molded and carved décor of the leading style movements of the time. Now, the building of the museum is the Monument of history, town planning, and architecture which combines elements of Neo-Russian and Neo-Byzantine styles which were peculiar for the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th centuries. It always attracts the attention of the citizens and guests of the town, as well as the artists, with its sophisticated, elegant look. Painters often choose it for their works.
    The exposition of the exhibition consists of 50 paintings, graphic and decorative works depicting the museum building and the interiors of the memorial hall. The works are from the museum collections “Modern Ukrainian Fine Art”, “Creative Works of Pupils and Students”, “Gallery of Art Competition “Youth Palette” named after Leonid Bondar”, and “Express-exhibitions of the Participants of Art Workshops”.
    These are the works of People’s Artist of Ukraine Anatolii Kravchenko, Merited Artists of Ukraine Serhii Shapovalov and Andrii Nadezhdin, members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Yurii Vintenko, Oleksandr Demydenko, and Olha Kolomiiets, a member of the National Union of Architects of Ukraine Iryna Kukharenko, painters Larysa Yakovleva and Halyna Yarova-Vintenko, architect Nataliia Soloviova, as well as the drawings of the pupils of Children’s Art School named after O.O.Osmerkin, Children’s School of Arts, comprehensive schools, studios of fine art and the works of the students of Painting and Graphic Art Subdepartment of the Department of Arts of the Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko.
    The majority of the artists are the laureates of the regional awards in Fine Art and Study of Art named after Oleksandr Osmerkin and in Architecture, Heraldry, Vexillology, and Decorative and Applied Arts named after Yakiv Pauchenko.
    Many art images of the museum were created at various plein airs – “Art Plein Air – 2017” to the 125th anniversary of Oleksandr Osmerkin organized by the owner of the gallery “Yelisavethrad” Mykola Tsukanov (2017), all-Ukrainian Plein Air within the National Art Festival “Kropyvnytskyi” (2018), plein air of the students of the art studio “Sovushka” on the topic: “Portrait of the town: Architectural Landmarks of Yakiv Pauchenko” (2020), as well as the themed Art Workshops – “Museum Fantasy” to the 120th anniversary of Oleksandr Osmerkin (2012), “Museum Still Life” (2013), “A Sample of Artistic Architecture” to the 100th anniversary of the architect Yakiv Pauchenko (2014), “Secrets of the Items from the Architect Yakiv Pauchenko’s House” to the 150th anniversary (2016), “Museum Patterns” to the 25th anniversary of the opening to the visitors of O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum (2019).
    The exhibition is completed with the photos of the artists and young artists at the art events and plein airs outside the museum.
