The regional award in the field of fine arts and
art history named after Oleksandr Osmerkin, established by the Kirovohrad
Regional Council (Decision of April 19, 2005 No. 409) at the request of the
Kirovohrad Regional Organization of the National Union of Artists of
Ukraine, is awarded to: for achieving notable successes in the fine arts and
creating bright artistic works in various types of fine arts (painting,
graphics, sculpture, monumental, theatrical and decorative), which would
confirm the national tradition, preserve the foundations of classical art,
introduce the latest forms in the fine arts, adapted to modern times, were
performed at a high professional level and gained wide public recognition in
the Kirovohrad region and beyond; for significant art or historical studies
of the development of the fine arts of the Kirovohrad region, propaganda and
approval of the achievements of artists of our region; for a significant
contribution to the development of art education, the creation of original
art and educational curricula and their implementation in educational
institutions of the region.
The award is established in three nominations: "national
tradition", "new trends", "art studies and art history".
Every year on December 8, on the birthday of O.O.Osmerkin, in
the premises of the artist's memorial museum, the winners are awarded the
title "Laureate of the Oleksandr Osmerkin Regional Prize in the Field of
Fine Arts and Art History", a diploma of the established model, a monetary
part of the prize, a badge of the prize laureate are awarded, honorary award
of the regional council and the regional state administration - the
sculpture "Steppe Eagle".
According to the decision of the jury of October 27, 2021,
the candidates for the Oleksandr Osmerkin regional prize in the field of
fine arts and art history in 2021 are:
in the "national tradition" nomination:
KIMNATNY Anatoliy Dmytrovych (born in 1980),
Kropyvnytskyi - member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2012),
painter, head of the art department of the Kirovohrad Regional Council Art
Museum - Pyotr Ossovsky's art gallery "World and Homeland", winner of the
Cabinet Award of Ministers of Ukraine for special achievements of youth in
the development of Ukraine in the nomination "For creative achievements"
(2005), laureate of the Olexandr Osmerkin regional award in the field of
fine arts and art history in the nomination "art studies and art history"
(2015), graduated from Kirovohrad, now Central Ukrainian, Volodymyr
Vinnichenko State Pedagogical University, faculty of pedagogy and
psychology, specialty "primary education and fine arts" (2003), participant
of regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions - for a series of works from
2000-2020, created as part of the plein-air exhibitions "Kirovohrad region
through the eyes of artists". The candidate was nominated for the prize by
the council of the Kirovohrad regional organization of the National Union of
Artists of Ukraine
in the "newest directions" nomination:
MARTYNYUK Natalia Oleksandrivna (born 1946), Odesa -
Honored Artist of Ukraine (2021), member of the National Union of Artists of
Ukraine (1982), graphic artist, graduated from the Odesa Art School named
after M.B. Grekov, now Higher Educational Communal Institution "M.B. Grekov
Odesa Art College", painting department (1967) and Leningrad Higher Art and
Industrial School named after V. I. Mukhina, now the St. Petersburg State
Art and Industrial Academy named after A.L. Shtiglits, faculty of "interior
and equipment" (1973), participant of all-Ukrainian, international and
foreign exhibitions - for creative additions in the original author's manner
of drawing, which vividly represent the innovative directions of modern
Ukrainian graphic art and are unique examples of the world art. The
candidate was nominated for the prize by the decision of the scientific and
methodical board of the "O.O. Osmerkin Memorial Art Museum"
TARASENKO Dmytro Viktorovych (born in 1988),
Kropyvnytskyi - member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2017),
painter, graduated from the Odesa Art School named after M.B. Grekov, now
Higher Educational Communal Institution "M.B. Grekov Odesa Art College"
(2009), National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture (2016), participant
of regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions - for a series of works. The
candidate was nominated for the prize by the decision of the scientific and
methodical board of the Communal Institution "Museum of Art of the
Kirovohrad Regional Council".

the Kirovohrad Regional Council: TKACHENKO Tetiana Oleksandrivna (director
of the museum), Oksana Borisivna VIZHEVSKA (artist of the 1st category),
Valentina Hryhorivna NOZHENKO (chief custodian of funds) - for creating
a printed project - Album. Museum of Arts. Kropyvnytskyi / Project manager:
Tkachenko T.O., Project coordinators: Vizhevska O.B., Nozhenko V.G. -
Kropyvnytskyi: MPP "Entourage", 2020. - 208 p.: illustration, which
highlights the history of the creation of the Museum of Art of the
Kirovohrad Regional Council, presents the most interesting museum objects
included in the fund collection: works of sacred art, art of the 18th - of
the beginning of the 20th century, compatriot artists, outstanding figures
of Ukrainian fine art, the department of the museum - Petro Ossovsky's art
gallery "World and Motherland", objects of decorative and applied art.
Candidates are nominated for the prize by the decision of the scientific and
methodical council of the Communal Institution "Museum of Art of the
Kirovohrad Regional Council".

The virtual exhibition of the works in electronic format of
the applicants for the award vividly reflects the creative handwriting of
each artist. Art history works are presented by printed editions in
