To the birthday of the artist and teacher Oleksandr Osmerkin (December 8), the Art School named after O. O. Osmerkin of the city of Kropyvnytskyi traditionally presents exhibitions within the framework of the museum art project "Gallery of Children's Art".
    The art school was established in 1959, named after painting professor Oleksandr Osmerkin in 1992 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth. There are famous artists among the graduates of the school, honored artists of Ukraine, laureates of regional art prizes in the field of fine arts and art history named after Oleksandr Osmerkin and in the fields of architecture, heraldry and vexillology, and decorative and applied arts named after Yakov Pauchenko.
    Experienced teachers, preserving the foundations of an academic school and introducing the latest forms of education, professionally impart their knowledge of painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative arts and the history of world art to children. School pupils are active participants and graduates of city, regional, all-Ukrainian and international exhibitions-competitions.
    The exposition of the virtual exhibition "A walk through the streets of Kropyvnytskyi", dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the birth of Elisavetgrad architect Yakov Pauchenko, consists of 38 creative works on the topic: "Architectural landscape" by students of grades 2-4, aged from 12 to 16 years old, made in various techniques - gouache, watercolor, pencil, pastel, ink, as well as fabric appliqué, under the guidance of school teachers: Hanna Timofienko, Olena Priymachenko, Daria Alekseenko, Tetyana Bondar, Lyubov Kiryanova, Svitlana Gnoeva, Oleksandra Kuznetsova, Volodymyr Plitin, Igor Timofienko, Oleksandr Kryvko, Oleksandr Kiryanov. Many of the presented drawings reproduce the buildings built according to the projects of Yakov Pauchenko, which are the decoration of the architectural ensemble of the historical center of the city of Kropyvnytskyi.
    The director of the art school, Hanna Timofienko, characterizes the thematic exhibition of young artists as follows: "The exhibition is a retrospective, which includes works from the summer training practice of students of grades 2-3, diploma works of school graduates, which include the work of Roman Tkachenko, who currently teaches at the art school . Such examples inspire children. Along with the image of the historical architectural buildings of the city, there are also drawings depicting our art school. The landscape with the renovated facade of the school is very popular with students during the summer practice. Perhaps this will be a topic for the next exhibition, because now the school has its own unique and very beautiful face."
