The exhibition of drawings by the students of the "Palette" circle of the public institution "Mykhailiv Lyceum" of the Oleksandrivskyi settlement council of the Kropyvnytskyi district of the Kirovohrad region "Cats are coming, they are bringing Spring..."is presented as part of the museum art project "Gallery of Children's Art".
    The "Palette" group started its work in 2018. Its leader is visual arts teacher Nataliya Martirosyan, who graduated in 2003 from the faculty of pedagogy and psychology with a specialty in "primary education and visual arts" of Kirovohrad, now Central Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after Volodymyr Vinnichenko, teachers: candidates of pedagogical sciences Larisa Garbuzenko and Olga Pungina, candidate of historical sciences Oleksandr Bosiy.
    The main task of the group is to involve students in fine art classes, training takes place in the format of master classes. Pupils of the group are winners of all-Ukrainian and regional competitions, as well as the Leonid Bondar "Youth Palette" art competition for the International Children's Day, which is held annually by the O.O.Osmerkin Art Memorial Museum.
    The exhibition presents more than forty works of eighteen students, aged from 7 to 14 years old, made in various art techniques: gouache, watercolor, felt-tip pen, colored pencils, gel pen. The main characters of the drawings are cats, which are considered symbols of spring.
    The head of the circle, Natalia Martirosyan, characterizes the exhibition of her students as follows: "The very name of the exhibition speaks of what is depicted in the works of young artists. A cat is the closest animal to a person. World Cat Day, which is traditionally celebrated on the first day of spring on March 1, is another reason to pettle your beloved pet, because all cats, without exception, love tenderness and warmth. If you provide them with a comfortable life and full care, cats will definitely give their owners their pleasant purr. Poems, stories, books are written about cats, movies and cartoons are made, and our pets have drawn them. The exhibition is dedicated to the positive mood of spring. And its goal is to offer adults to see the world through the eyes of children. All drawings are different and at the same time sincere, because a piece of a child's soul is investeded in them.
