The exhibition of works by pupils of the fine arts department of the Children's Art School of the city of Kropyvnytskyi "Spring Rhapsody" is presented as part of the museum art project "Gallery of Children's Art".
    For the second year now, Ukrainian children have witnessed criminal Russian aggression. But even during the war, they continue to create under the sounds of air raids, being in shelters. Strong in spirit and courageous, like Ukrainian warriors-defenders, they are confident in the Victory of Good, Spring, and the Sun and vividly reflect their childhood impressions, emotions, thoughts and dreams of a peaceful life in their creative works.
    The fine arts department of the Children's Art School is an active participant in the museum art project "Gallery of Children's Art", which presents collective and personal exhibitions, holds thematic art studios and master classes of famous artists.
    The main task of the educational institution is to attract children and youth to the world of visual arts. Experienced artist-pedagogues professionally impart knowledge of painting, drawing, composition, decorative arts and history of world art to students. Many students of the school are laureates and diploma winners of all-Ukrainian, international, as well as regional and city competitions and festivals of student creativity. Many graduates become professional artists and art teachers.
    The exposition of the exhibition consists of fifty works of young artists aged from 7 to 15 years, made in painting, graphic and decorative techniques in the spring of 2023 under the guidance of experienced teachers: member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Yurii Vintenko, artists Yuliia Tarasova, Anna Tatarova and Olha Krasnopolska. All creative works are original and individual, because they are a manifestation of the artistic abilities of the authors, skillfully revealed by the teachers, and are full of a child's direct perception of the complex, contradictory, but at the same time beautiful world of art.
    "In the spring, children get a second breath as if. After the summer, it is a little difficult to get them rolling, and at the end of the school year, they already have certain results. Mastering various artistic techniques, students reproduce their imagination and worldview in drawings. Spring, with its flowers and the awakening of nature, has a life-affirming force and inspires creativity. With the return of the sun, children, like flowers, also open up, grow and express themselves in art", - this is how Olha Krasnopolska, head of the fine art department of the Children's School of Arts in the city of Kropyvnytskyi, characterizes the idea of holding the exhibition.
