O.O.Osmerkin Memorial Art
Museum presents the exhibition of works of the Honored Artist of Ukraine
Hryhorii Hnatiuk "Graphic revelations of Hryhorii Hnatiuk" for the Artist's
Day as part of the museum art project "Laureates of the regional award in
the field of fine arts and art history named after Oleksandr Osmerkin".
The initiative to organize the exhibition belongs to Svitlana
Ushakova, head of the art department of the Regional Universal Scientific
Library named after D.I.Chizhevskyi, laureates of the Oleksandr Osmerkin
regional prize in the field of fine arts and art history in the nomination "art
history and art history" as part of the author's team (2018). She proposed
this idea a few years ago to the leading researcher of the O.O.Osmerkin Art
Memorial Museum, expert art critic, Honored Artist of Ukraine Andrii
Nadiezhdin, who after scientific study of more than half a thousand graphic
sketches and sketches of the Honored Artist of Ukraine Hryhorii Hnatiuk from
the private collection of the artist Oleksandr Kryvko - a teacher at the art
school named after O.O.Osmerkin , selected more than one and a half hundred
drawings for the exhibition and wrote an art history article for the
exhibition catalog "Graphic revelations of Hryhorii Hnatiuk". Unfortunately,
the quarantine prevented us from presenting the exhibition for the Artist's
Day in 2021, and in 2022, Andrii Nadiezhdin suddenly passed away on October
19.
Museum scientists decided to bring their colleague's work to
a logical conclusion and present his latest artistic project, which covers
the entire spectrum of 27 years of successful scientific and artistic
activity of Andrii Nadiezhdin - twice laureate of the Oleksandr Osmerkin
regional prize in the field of fine arts and art history in the nomination "art
history and the history of arts" (2010) and as part of the author's
collective (2019).
This exhibition is dedicated to the memory of talented
artists, Honored Artists of Ukraine Hryhorii Hnatiuk and Andrii Nadiezhdin,
whose work is full of mysteries, symbols and signs, and their artistic world
is for intellectuals who, through knowledge of the past, try to understand
the meaning of modern life and, if possible, try to predict the future of
human civilization in the infinite universe.
