The virtual art exhibition "SUBJECT MONOLOGUE"
presents the works of students of the 3rd year of the Department of Art
Education, Faculty of Pedagogy, Psychology and Arts of the Central Ukrainian
State University named after Volodymyr Vynnychenko within the framework of
the museum youth art project "New Generation", which aims to identify among
student artistic youth of bright and talented personalities in the modern
fine arts of Ukraine and provides for the arrangement of personal and
collective exhibitions, as well as the publication of thematic booklets with
art articles and reproductions of creative works.
The exposition of the exhibition consists of more than 40
graphic and pictorial works of young artists Pavlo Vasheka, Victoriia
Plakhotnia and Liudmyla Tsvigun, created during the period of study and
creative searches from 2021 to 2023 in the genre of still life under the
guidance of a teacher of drawing and painting, Candidate of Pedagogical
Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Art Education , a member
of the National Union of Artists and Masters of Folk Art of Ukraine, Yuliia
Malezhyk, who initiated the organization of the exhibition, defined its
purpose and idea, and provided a detailed artistic description of the
creative works of the students.
"The purpose and idea of the exhibition is to present the
main tasks and diversity of educational and creative still life, its
multifacetedness, various themes and relevance at any time. In today's
conditions and modern realities, educational and creative work requires new
understanding and approaches. It just so happened that distance learning
brings us back to things that are close to us. These are the things that
surround us all the time, but few people notice their significance, even
their symbolism, they become the accent and the tuning fork that reflects
the inner state, emotionality, belonging to different spheres of activity,
social, national class, etc. The exhibition presents the works of three
students who solve these tasks in still life and independently, in an
author's way, approach its understanding with the help of painting
techniques, sometimes using graphics to accentuate the details.
The saturation of Pavlo Vasheka's palette, presented
in still lifes, strengthens the sound of the center of the composition and
its versatility. He vividly conveys the variety of ratios and colorfully
builds space in his works with the help of composition, color and tonal
spots, reflexes, and lighting. The works of a creative nature are
interesting, they are complex in terms of composition, color solution and
conceptual understanding.
The watercolor still lifes of Victoriia Plakhotnaia
are distinguished by a more restrained palette, a creative design of
compositions in which the awareness of the main task, which is expressed in
the combination and play of colors, shades, and mood, is clearly visible.
Her oil painting is more active, "bold" in tonality and color scheme, the
objects are more detailed and seem to be talking to the viewer, telling
about their affairs.
Liudmyla Tsvihun's creative works, in addition to the
traditional, educational task of pictorial solution of compositions in still
life, are made in purely graphic techniques: simple and colored pencils,
charcoal. Paintings with a simple and complex composition reflect the
author's inner state, preferences, and passions. Her technique, even in
painting, gravitates towards clarity of lines and harmony in the composition,
and the color perfectly emphasizes this in the works", - this is how the
curator of the exhibition, associate professor of the department of art
education, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences Yuliia Malezhyk presents the
exhibition and characterizes the creativity of her students. |
