Kuharenko Irene Alexandrovna was born in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan), Russian Federation. Irene Kuharenko has been engaged in drawing since her youth. While studying in Kazan children's art school ¹5 she developed interest in watercolour painting thanks to her teacher Zverev Leonid Ivanovich. The love for fine arts played a decisive role in the choice of a profession - Architectural Department of Kazan Civil Engineering Institute. In 1990, after graduation from the Institute, Irene Kuharenko moved to Kirovograd.
In 1991 Irene Kuharenko began her labor activity as an architect in the Administration of town building, architecture, land surveying and land tenure of Kirovograd City Committee. Since 2009 - Deputy Chief of Regional development, town building and architecture of Kirovograd State Administration - Chief Architect of the region.
While working on responsible positions in the public institutions Irene Kuharenko hasn't lost her interest in art work. Thus, in 2011 she presented her watercolour works of architectural buildings for the first time at the exhibition of the works of contenders for Jakov Paucheno Award in architecture, heraldy, veksycology and decorative and applied arts in A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. That became an inspiration to organize a personal exhibition of graphic works.
More than 40 works of different genres are presented at the exhibition "Vernisage", among them still lifes, landscapes, portraits made in watercolour technique and pencilling. And it is no coincidence, because architects usually give preference exactly to these techniques in building design for accurate representation of architectural details and forms.
Irene Kuharenko's watercolours are remarkable for their delicacy, lightness, colour strength. Behind simplicity of her motifs lyricism and poetry of the imagery is hidden. In her landscape sketches, full of airy perspective and transparency, a wide geography of artist's traveling is reflected. Graphic accuracy and admiration for details of ornaments made by architects of past centuries impresses in the architectural sketches of the Kazan Kremlin, Odessa and the Crimea courtyards, streets of ancient Lvov. The portraits of the near and dear are made with a peculiar sincerity; the sketches, made by soft pencil, brightly reflect peculiarities of their character.
With the help of her works Irene Kuharenko focuses our attention on the value and uniqueness of every minute of life, clearly showing the mood of the first days of spring, lit by sunlight and hopes for a better future.
