For the first time Kirovograd Building College presents creative works of the students from the Department of Architecture in A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum.
   The college was established in 1930 on the basis of a drawing school. It has such departments: building, road-building, architectural, gas and heat supplying. The main purpose of the college is teaching students professional technical knowledge and skills in building sphere. Annually students and creative groups of the college participate in prestige festivals and competitions taking prize-winning places.
   The Architectural Engineering and Interior Design Department has been functioning in the college since 2009. Professional disciplines are being taught by members of the National Union of architects of Ukraine O.O.Postolatiy, L.V.Harlamova, T.O.Penyaz, G.P.Kuzmenko, who professionally communicate to students knowledge on painting, drawing, composition, architectural design, town planning, architectural details and history of architecture.
   The students of the department A.Ostapchuk, A.Boiko, V.Kotenko successfully participated in the closed regional competition for the reconstruction of Teatralna Square in Kirovograd. It was a first competition in which students of the department took part and they clearly declared themselves as professionals.
   The Department of Architecture of Kirovograd Building College is one of Kirovograd region educational establishments, which provides a professional art education, along with such institutions as the Design Department of Kirovograd Institute of Regional Management and Economy, the Art Department of V.Vynnychenko Kirovograd State Pedagogical University. Graduates of the Department of Architecture of Kirovograd Building College can enter higher educational establishments of Ukraine in order to continue their education more thoroughly. It creates favourable conditions for the development of original Kirovograd urban environment.
   More than 50 students' works (drawings, paintings, works on composition) are presented at the exhibition. The majority of works are academic works; they increase students' knowledge of building image in perspective, understanding of the structure and construction of geometric figures, studying the anatomy of the human body. Work with lines, spots, tone and colour in different proportions teaches to identify qualities of statics, dynamics and balance of forms, laws of the existence of an object in space, develops compositional way of thinking. At the same time each student has already become a creative personality with his\her personal view on art.
