Exhibition of works by Kirovograd artists “United Ukraine!” to Unity Day of Ukraine was opened on January 22, 2015 in A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum. The exhibition presents more than 40 works by prominent and well-known masters of Ukrainian modern fine art – founders of the local centre of fine art People’s artist of Ukraine Mykhaylo Nadezhdin and Honoured artist of Unkraine Borys Vintenko, and also Honoured worker of culture of Ukraine, who has been director of Kirovohrad children’s art school named after A.A.Osmerkin, Leonid Bondar, Honoured artists of Ukraine Sergiy Shapovalov, Anatoliy Yanev and Andriy Nadezhdin, Honoured master of folk art of Ukraine Olexandra Prenko, members of the National Union of artists of Ukraine Olexander Lohvinuk, Volodymyr Kyryanov, Yuriy Honcharenko, Anatoliy Shapovalov, Yuriy Vintenko, Anatoliy Dvorskyy, Feliks Polonskyy, Vyacheslav Popov, Igor Smychek, Mariya Tserna, Olga Pungina, Andriy Khvorost, Oksana Zhuravel (Nadezhdina), Olga Kolomiets, Volodymyr Tovkaylo, Olexander Demydenko, the Firsov’s family, member of the National Union of masters of folk art Valentyna Dobrovolska and painters Stepan Nikolenko and Ludmyla Demydenko.
   Exposition is made up of art compositions from the museum collection “Modern Ukrainian fine art”, which has been formed by the works of members of the National Union of artists of Ukraine, the National Union of folk art masters of Ukraine, the National Union of architects of Ukraine, and also laureates of the regional awards in fine art and history of art named after Alexander Osmerkin and in architecture, heraldry and vexilology, decorative and applied arts named after Yakov Pauchenko, beginning with the foundation of the museum. There are works that recently were shown in Central House of Artist of the National Union of artists of Ukraine in Kyiv at the exhibition “Steppe colours” to the 25th anniversary of Kirovograd Regional Organization of the National Union of artists of Ukraine.
   Paintings and graphic works reflect thoughts on the past and contemporary life of our country, landscape motifs of the native land, decorative and applied art works demonstrate creative experiments with ancient symbols and ornaments of Ukrainian steppe culture, medal works immortalize images of prominent personalities of culture, art, science and politics of Kirovohrad region.
    We are different as personalities but united as the nation – just this idea is brought by the original works of Kirovograd artists to viewers.
