The exhibition of children’s works “We love Ukraine!” to Day of Dignity and Freedom was organized by the museum together with Kirovohrad children’s art school named after O.O.Osmerkin and Kirovohrad children’s school of arts.
   Day of Dignity and Freedom – a fest in Ukraine that is celebrated every year on November 21 in honour of the beginning of two revolutions on that day: Orange revolution (2004) and Revolution of Dignity (2013). The fest was set by the decree of President of Ukraine from November 13, 2014 and is aimed at consolidation of ideals of freedom and democracy, preservation and handing down to the present and future generations of objective information about crucial events in Ukraine in the beginning of XXI century, and also at paying respect to patriotism and courage of people who in Autumn 2004 and November 2013 – February 2014 stood up for democratic values, rights and freedoms of a person, national interests of our state and its European choice.
   Kirovohrad elementary specialized art educational establishments - Kirovohrad children’s art school named after O.O.Osmerkin, which celebrated its 55th anniversary last year, and Kirovohrad children’s school of arts, founded in 1986, every year graduate hundreds of pupils many of whom continue their professional art education in higher educational establishments. Bright creative pedagogic stuff works in both schools. Experienced teachers, many of whom are members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, professionally share their knowledges in painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative art and history of world art. A lot of pupils are active participants and winners of town, regional, national and international exhibitions-competitions.
   More than 30 works made in different techniques by pupils aged 11-15 years are exhibited in the museum. Paintings on motifs of folk tales, legends and stories of contemporary life impress by openness of the colour, impetuous imagination, sincere desire to experience the surrounding world. Works of decorative and applied art such as embroideries, batik, vytynanka, collages and appliques brightly realize diversity of Ukrainian national tradition.
   Exposition of the exhibition of children’s works lighted by sheer thoughts and encourages to full living with an open heart filled with love to Ukraine.
