The exhibition presents works by prominent and well-known artists of fine art of Kirovohrad region - People’s Artist of Ukraine Mykhailo Nadezhdin, Merited Artists of Ukraine Serhii Shapovalov, Anatolii Yanev and Andrii Nadezhdin, and also former director of Kirovohrad children’s art school named after O.O.Osmerkin, Merited Cultural Worker of Ukraine Leonid Bondar, members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine Olexander Lohvyniuk, Yurii Honcharenko, Anatolii Shapovalov, Yurii Vintenko, Feliks Polonskii, Ihor Smychek, Volodymyr Tovkailo, Olexander Demydenko, Volodymyr Plitin and also a famous Kirovohrad artist - veteran of World War II, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR Volodymyr Fedorov.
   The exposition is build upon the art compositions from the museum collection “Modern Ukrainian fine art”, which is formed by works of members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the National Union of Artists of folk art of Ukraine, the National Union of Architects of Ukraine, also by laureates of regional awards in fine arts and study of art named after Olexander Osmerkin and in the sphere of architecture, heraldry and vexillology and decorative and applied art named after Yakov Pauchenko.
   More than 20 paintings of modern Kirovohrad artists, created during 1970s – 2000th, are shown at the exhibition. Landscapes, still lifes, portraits and theme compositions give atmosphere of artistic fest, brightly reflecting a special, unique colouring of Ukrainian sunny palette, born by colours of boundless sky, fragrant steppe grass, fleeting rivers and planking stone of city streets.
