Artur Yosypovych
Was born on June 14,
1968, in Kyiv.Ukrainian historian of literature, bibliographer, publisher, social
activist. A grandson of the worker of Ukrainian and Russian culture V.N.Vaisblat
(1882-1945) – a full brother of the artist Yo.N.Vaisblat (1897-1979) and sugar scientist
A.A.Rudzitskyi, great-grandson of the chief rabbi of Kyiv N.Ya.Vaisblat, grand-nephew of a
prominent Ukrainian translator Ye.A.Drobiazko and photo artist – surrealist Man Rei
(Emmanuil Rudzitskyi).
Graduated from the Polygraphic Department of Kyiv Polytechnic
Institute, with the degree in “book science”. President (1996 –till January 2013) of
Ukrainian Association of publishers and press distributors (UAPPD), head (since 2010) of
Ukrainian branch of Association of European Journalists - AEJ-Ukraine, member of the
International Gutenberg Society (Mainz, Germany), the International Association of Art
Critics AICA (Paris, France), the International Society of Polish Journalists and Writers
APAJTE(Paris, France), Polish Society of Art Historians (Warsaw, Poland).
In the 2010s researched document materials of the criminal case of the
artist Yosyp Vaisblat, which was opened against him by the Soviet punitive agency in 1951.
The materials are kept in Moscow archive of the FSB of the Russian Federation. The results
of the research were published in the article “To search, to dare, to think. Case of the
artist Yosyp Vaisblat by materials of the archives of NKVD-FSB”, in the magazine “Antykvar”,
