Fedoruk Alexander Kasyanovych (born 27.09.1939), Kyiv – Honoured art worker of Ukraine (2003), Honoured Worker of culture of Poland (1977), a member of the National Union of artists of Ukraine (1978), Doctor of Art History (1996), professor (2004), a full member of Ukrainian (academician) Academy of Arts (2000), art historian, writer, pedagogue, scholar in literature, a public figure, the chief editor of the magazine “Fine Arts”, graduated from Ivan Franko Lviv State University, Journalism Department (1960), Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.Repin, now St.-Petersburg State Academic Institute of Art, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.Repin, the Department of Theory and History of Fine Art (1968) – for investigation of pictorial creative work of a prominent Ukrainian writer and statesman Volodymyr Vynnychenko.
