|
The exhibition is a unique one. Original documents and photographs from J.Pauchenko's
archive that were kept in Moscow, and copy materials from the funds of Russian State
Archive of Literature and Art (Moscow, Russia), State Archive of Kirovograd Region and
Kirovograd Regional Universal Research Library named after D.I.Chizhevsky are exhibited
there. The author's architectural designs, family photographs, numerous documents tell us
about Jakov Pauchenko's life full of indefatigable and fruitful creative work.
Until recently Jakov Pauchenko's name was almost unknown to vast masses of
art worshipers and only in 1994 with the opening of A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum Jakov
Pauchenko's creative work began to open up with all artistic plenitude. Now his figure is
as important for the town as it was in the end of the 19th - beginning of the 20th
centuries.
Regional Award in the sphere of architecture, heraldry and vexillology and
decorative and applied art named after Jakov Pauchenko was initiated by the Kirovograd
Regional Council in 2002. It is awarded for the best achievements of contemporary
architects, scientists and artists of the Kirovograd region.
In 2006 a jubilee envelope "Jakov Pauchenko (1866-1914) - an
architect" to Jakov Pauchenko's 140th anniversary was published and redeemed by
Ukrpost. |
