A Book Presented to the Museum by Mykola Tsukanov


    On June 9, 2021, a famous philanthropist from Kropyvnytskyi, owner of the gallery “Yelisavethrad” Mykola Tsukanov gave to the collection of O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum a recently presented book – “Personal Record No.1. Oleksandr Vasyliovych Hitalov (May 25, 1915 – March 1, 1994). Materials to the Biography”. Issue 1. – Kropyvnytskyi: TOV “Print Media Pro”, 2021. – p.62.
    This popular science edition launches a new series “Personal Record No.” which presents a manual of documentary and photo materials kept at different organizations – archives, museums – about outstanding personalities from the Kirovohrad Region. The founders of the project are the gallery “Yelisavethrad” (owner Mykola Tsukanov) and State Archive in the Kirovohrad Oblast (a.i. director Lilia Marynets). Editor – the gallery employee Serhii Karakulin. The presentation was held within the event “One Day Exhibition” at which unique archive materials were displayed. The book is available on the website of the gallery “Yelisavethrad”.
    Mykola Tsukanov offered the museum to join the unique local project and participate in the preparation of the issues about a talented architect from Yelisavethrad Yakiv Pauchenko on the occasion of this year 155th anniversary and about his nephew, an outstanding painter and pedagogue Oleksandr Osmerkin whose 130th anniversary will be celebrated in 2022.
