Graduation from the art school named after O. O. Osmerkin – 2024

On June 7, 2024 a ceremony was held in the O.O.Osmerkin Art Memorial Museum on the occasion of the awarding of certificates of graduation to the graduates of the O.O.Osmerkin art school in the city of Kropyvnytskyi.
The school year has already finished for the students and teachers of the art school, who since October last year held classes in the exhibition halls of the museum, which became a kind of art shelter for them during the war and provided an opportunity to gain knowledge in visual arts despite all the air anxieties. It is symbolic that the graduation evening also took place in the museum of the artist and teacher whose name the school bears, professor of painting Oleksandr Osmerkin, who devoted thirty years of his life to art pedagogy in the leading art higher education institutions of that time. The significance of this event lies in the fact that this year both the school and the museum celebrate their anniversaries - the school celebrates its 65th anniversary, and the museum celebrates its 30th anniversary of opening to visitors.
So, a real festive atmosphere reigned in the museum, and the memorial hall barely accommodated the young artists and their parents, who came with flowers and gifts to congratulate them on the solemn event. The event opened with the performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine, and blue and yellow balloons in the hands of talented young people created a particularly patriotic atmosphere in the hall where the art exhibition "Invincibles" is exhibited as part of the museum's art project "Art studios on the theme: Portraits of contemporaries against the background of war".
The director of the school, Hanna Tymofienko, made a welcome speech and handed the graduates Certificates of graduation from the art school, as well as letters of commendation to the excellent students, wishing them a happy life and creative journey. School principal Tetiana Bondar, teachers Iryna Zantariia, Volodymyr Plitin, Oleksandr Kryvko, Polina Odud and Roman Tkachenko also congratulated the graduates. Words of gratitude from the teaching staff of the school, the student and parent community to the museum employees for the opportunity to fruitfully creative work and study were also heard during the speeches. And the artistic event ended with a traditional photo session of graduates with teachers and parents in the halls of the museum and near its elegant building.
The museum staff sincerely wishes the graduates of the art school the realization of their dreams and creative plans, successful self-realization in adult life and active participation in the development of Ukraine!
