Vernissages of children creative workin O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum have already become traditional forworshipers of fine art. The vernissages are held within art project “Gallery of children art” which presupposes presentations of exhibitions of children creative work, a popularization of the best works of young artists and engagement of children to fine art classes.
    A Creative pedagogical staff headed by the director Hanna Tymofienko works in Kirovohrad Children Art School in Kropyvnytskyi which in 1992 on the occasion of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the painter was named after O.O.Osmerkin. Experienced teachers, many of which finished the school, and are the members of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, the National Union of Folk Masters of Ukraine and laureates of the Regional Award in the sphere of Fine Art and History of Art named after O.O.Osmerkin, professionally share their knowledge in painting, drawing, sculpture, decorative art and history of the world fine art with children. Many pupils of the school are active participants and winners of town, regional, national and international exhibitions-competitions.
    More than 60 works by young artists aged 11-16 are shown at the exhibition “Cheerful colors of childhood” dedicated to the 125th anniversary of a prominent painter and pedagogue O.O.Osmerkin. The works are made in different techniques and under the guidance of teachers Lubov Kyrianova, Tetiana Bondar, Svitlana Hnoieva, Olexandra Kuznietsova, Ihor Tymofienko, Olexandr Kryvko, Volodymyr Plitin, and Oleksii Lozynskii.
    The paintings and graphic works, sculptures and decorative items shown are school works aimed at widening pupils’ scope of compositional thinking and knowledge of art techniques – watercolours, gouache, different sculpture and decorative materials, and also computer design. At the same time, creative capabilities of every author find expression in them. All the works are marked by irrepressible imagination and sincere wish of world cognition.
