Dobrovolaska Valentyna Yakivna was born in 1964 in Moldova. Graduated from Kishinev industrial and pedagogical College, majoring in “industrial and public building”, Art decoration Department (1986). Since 1990 has been living in Kirovograd. A member of the National Union of folk art masters of Ukraine (2012).
   A participant of city, regional and all-Ukrainian exhibitions of folk art – regional creative association of masters of decorative and applied arts and fine art “Amazing world of Kirovograd region” (2011, 2012, 2013), All-Ukrainian exhibition and competition of folk art on the best work (2010,2011, 2012, 2013), All-Ukrainian exhibition and fair “Ukrainian souvenir” (2011), State exhibition event “Picturesque Ukraine” in the National complex “Expocentr Ukraine” (2012,2013). In 2013 the master became a winner of All-Ukrainian exhibition and competition of folk art of the National Union of folk art masters of Ukraine “The best work of the year”.
   Headed the society of decorative and applied arts “Souvenir” of the centre of extracurricular education “Contact” in Kirovograd gymnasium ¹5 named after Taras Shevchenko (2003-2010). Her pupils repeatedly won in city festival of children creative work “Steppe springs”, in All-Ukrainian competition “Talents of large families” and in International festival of children and youth creativity, dedicated to the World Earth Day.
   In 2013 a personal exhibition “Ornaments of ancestors. Carpets and tapestries” took place in the art department of Kirovograd Regional Universal Research Library named after D.I.Chizhevsky.
   Took a great interest in carpeiting since childhood. There was a special room in the parents’ house where grandmother, mother and aunt weaved tapestries and carpets on looms. A family tradition of carpet making became a sense of life for the master. There are a lot of works from the line “Ornaments of Kirovograd Region”.
   More than 40 works of decorative and applied arts in carpeting technique are shown at the exhibition – carpets, tapestries, taystras (Hutsulian bags), waistbands, corsets, bracelets, purses and other souvenir goods, made in the last years.
