The exhibition shows works of a well-known Kirovograd artist Honoured artist
of Ukraine A.Nadezhdin within the framework of initiated by the museum art project of the
series of art exhibitions “Laureates of Regional Award in fine arts and study of art
named after Alexander Osmerkin”.
Nadezhdin Andriy Mykhaylovych was born on June 19, 1963 in the village Verkhnya Khortytsa,
now Zaporizhzhya.
Graduated from E.Vuchetich Dnipropetrovs’k State School of Arts (1986),
teachers: V.Matyash, H,Cherneta, I.Ostapenko. Also graduated with honours from the
National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture of Ukraine, History and Theory of Fine Art
Department (2004), teachers: O.Lahutenko, V.Dzhulay, V.Klevaev.
A member of the National Union of artists of Ukraine (1991). Laureate of
Regional Award in fine arts and study of art named after Alexander Osmerkin in the
nominations “modern tendencies” (2008) and “study and history of art” (2010). In
2009 was submitted to the city board of honour in the nomination “The best worker of art”.
In 2013 was awarded the title “Honoured artist of Ukraine”. A participant of numerous
all-Ukrainian, international and personal exhibitons.
The painter’s works are kept in the National Art Museum of Ukraine (Kyiv),
Directorate of exhibitions of Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and Directorate of
exhibitions of the National Union of artists of Ukraine, Kirovograd Regional Art Museum,
A.A.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum, Memorial Museum of V.Ivasuk (Chernivtsi), Museum of
History of Dniprodzerzhyns’k, private collections in Ukraine and abroad.
A.Nadezhdin takes a great interest in book graphics, designs works of
Kirovograd writers. As an art historian A.Nadezhdin is an author of articles in such
Ukrainian professional periodicals: magazines “Fine art”, “Artania”, “Ukrainian
culture”, “Museums of Ukraine”, newspaper “Culture and life”, local press, and
also he is an author and compiler of the albums “Architectural art” and “Fine art”
within the series of photoalbums “Kirovograd in the mirror of time” to the 75th
anniversary of Kirovograd region in 2013 (“Imeks-LTD” publishing house).
The exhibition presents nearly fifty paintings and graphic work of the 1990s
– 2015 from the art series: “Autumn dawns of my childhood”, “Evangelic
contemplations”, “Metamorphoses of today”, “Angels do not escape bullets”. As
the artist mentions, his establishment was considerably influenced by his father –
People’s artist of Ukraine M.Nadezhdin, he is a representative of Ukrainian romantic
symbolism of the new wave and relies on the traditions of Ukrainian icon painting, folk
painting, song folklore, art of Ukrainian modern of the late XIX – early XX century and
neoromanticism of the 1960th in his work. |
