The exhibition of children’s drawings “Architectural gems of our town”

Yakiv Vasyliovych Pauchenko (March 21, 1866 – October 29, 1914) was one of
those architects who was destined to create architectural complex of the historic centre
of modern Kirovohrad (Elizabethgrad). In Elizabethrad newspaper “Voice of South” 1914,
was mentioned: “All buildings that were constructed by him brightly demonstrate us his
talent…Unquestionable merit is that he was first in our town who gave the samples of
artistic architecture…”
More than 30 drawings of young artists, from 11 to 16 years old, are
presented at the exhibition. The works are made by pencil, gel pen, gouache and
watercolours. The works reproduce architectural image of the historical centre of our
town. Unique buildings, constructed on the projects of Ya.Pauchenko at the joint of XIX-XX
centuries, adorn the streets of the centre of the town.
The exposition of the exhibition “Architectural gems of our town” full of
love to a native town and lit by bright thoughts which induce to a full being with an open
heart and is a worthy respect to a prominent Elizabethgard architect Yakiv Pauchenko. |
