The exhibition of children’s drawings “Architectural gems of our town” to the 150th anniversary of Elizabethgrad architect Yakiv Pauchenko was organized by O.O.Osmerkin Art-Memorial Museum together with Kirovohrad children’s art school named after O.O.Osmerkin and Kirovohrad children’s school of art (Village of Nove).
   Yakiv Vasyliovych Pauchenko (March 21, 1866 – October 29, 1914) was one of those architects who was destined to create architectural complex of the historic centre of modern Kirovohrad (Elizabethgrad). In Elizabethrad newspaper “Voice of South” 1914, was mentioned: “All buildings that were constructed by him brightly demonstrate us his talent…Unquestionable merit is that he was first in our town who gave the samples of artistic architecture…”
   More than 30 drawings of young artists, from 11 to 16 years old, are presented at the exhibition. The works are made by pencil, gel pen, gouache and watercolours. The works reproduce architectural image of the historical centre of our town. Unique buildings, constructed on the projects of Ya.Pauchenko at the joint of XIX-XX centuries, adorn the streets of the centre of the town.
   The exposition of the exhibition “Architectural gems of our town” full of love to a native town and lit by bright thoughts which induce to a full being with an open heart and is a worthy respect to a prominent Elizabethgard architect Yakiv Pauchenko.
