On February 20, 2021, O.O.Osmerkin Museum
hosted a meet and greet event with the authors of the online exhibition
“Kropyvnytskyi is the
Town of Lovers”, which was presented within the art project
founded by the museum “The Town of Kropyvnytskyi through a Camera” at
the museum website in the Section “Some Exhibitions” on February 14,
2021.
The museum director Vita Chernova thanked for the creative
cooperation to the authors of the exhibition – news photographers of the
local printed and electronic media Merited Artist of Ukraine Ihor
Demchuk (the regional sociopolitical newspaper “Kirovohradska Pravda”),
a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine Oleksandr
Shuleshko (edition of the territorial community of the town of
Kropyvnytskyi “Vechirnia Hazeta”), and Oleksii Kaprytsia (mediaportal
DOZOR) and handed them the booklet of the exhibition, developed by the
museum, Letters of Acknowledgement, and sweet souvenirs.
The event started with the presentation of the booklet of the
photo exhibition prepared by the leading researcher of the museum,
Merited Artist of Ukraine Andrii Nadezhdin who told about the idea and
goal of the new museum project “The Town of Kropyvnytskyi through a
Camera”. It presupposes the organization of the personal and group
exhibitions aimed at covering the historical heritage of the town of
Kropyvnytskyi and the cultural, social, economic life of its dwellers.
The authors of the exhibition supported the museum idea to
initiate a new photo project, which will promote the creative work of
Kropyvnytskyi photographers, the majority of whom are the laureates of
the art awards – the Regional Award in Journalism in the nomination
“Photo Journalism” and the Town Award among Photo Artists named after
Vasyl Kovpak; as well as modern photo artists who have high professional
level in photo art.
The creative communication took place in the informal setting
and ended with a traditional autograph session of the participants of
the exhibition. The first booklet of the exhibition with the autographs
of its authors was given to the chief curator of the Museum of Music
Culture named after Karol Shymanovskyi, a laureate of the Regional Award
in Local History named after Volodymyr Yastrebov, a well-known guide
Olena Klassova. She mentioned that a new art project “The Town of
Kropyvnytskyi through a Camera” will promote the popularization of our
town not only among Kropyvnytskyi citizens but also among numerous
tourists. |
