Patriotic art action "1000 days of war"

On November 19, 2024, the Oleksandr Osmerkin Art Memorial Museum hosted a creative meeting with the Kropyvnytskyi artist Olha Krasnopolska, the author of the thematic exhibition of digital collages "2022 the Birth of Christ". This exhibition, the exposition of which consists of thirteen collages made in February-March 2022, was first presented on the museum website on the anniversary of the beginning of the war
It was November 19 that marked 1000 days since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. A thousand days of heroic resistance, struggle, trials, resilience, indomitability, courage of the Ukrainian people, who defend their land, history, culture, language, will, freedom, independence.
The participants of the event were students of the Oleksandr Osmerkin Art School, because this patriotic art event is aimed primarily at educating the students in due respect for the indomitable spirit of Ukrainian defenders, the courage and heroism of the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, veterans, volunteers and volunteers who are currently defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
During the meeting, Olha Krasnopolska spoke about how the idea of creating collages arose and how this creative process took place in the first days of the war, and also conducted an excursion through the exhibition of posters in the memorial hall of the museum with the image of digital collages created on a tablet to the sounds of air raid sirens based on panoramic photos of her hometown of Kropyvnytskyi and Ukrainian symbols.
Reflecting the full range of thoughts and feelings of the first days of the war, these collages are relevant even now, they claim that Ukraine is bloodied but unconquered, it is defending itself, and Ukrainians are defending their land and liberating it from foreigners. It is not for nothing that Olha Krasnopolska, as a leading researcher at the museum, spoke about her creative work in the field of digital art during her speech at the scientific and practical conference “Musealization of the Russian-Ukrainian War: Challenges and Prospects”, which was organized and held by the Center for Research on Military History of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on February 23 of this year in the premises of the Ivan Bohun Kyiv Military Lyceum.
